受難節、第５主日。
イエス様は三本の十字架の真ん中につけられ、一人の犯罪人が右に、もう一人は左の十字架につけられました。
その中の一人がイエス様を見て言いました。
「イエス様。あなたが御国に入られる時、私を思い出してください。」
「あなたは今日、わたしとともにパラダイスにいます。」
とイエス様はその人に答えられました。
その犯罪人は洗礼を受けず、聖書も読まず、教会へも行かなかったのに、天国に入られたのでしょうか？
天国の門でパスワードを聞かれた時、彼はこう言ったでしょう。
「真ん中の十字架の方に誘われて来たのです。」
それは恵みです！
あなたも誘われています。
主イエスを仰ぎ見れば、生きるのです！

5th Sunday in Lent.
Among three crosses, Jesus was nailed to the cross in the middle with one criminal on his right side and another one on his left side.
One of them looked at Jesus and said,
“Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
“Today, you will be with me in paradise.”
Jesus answered him.
Do you think he was allowed into heaven?
He wasn’t baptized, nor did he read the Bible or go to church.
When asked for the password at heaven’s gate I think he might have said,
“The man on the middle cross invited me so I came.”
That is GRACE!
You are also invited.
Look up at the cross and you will live!
