聖書は「はじめに神が天と地を創造された」で始まりますが、最後は滅びではなく新しい天と地の再創造で終わります：
「また私は、新しい天と新しい地を見た」。
キリストを信じると古いものが過ぎ去って、すべてが新しくなります。
新しい創造として、少しずつキリストに似た姿に変えられて行きます。
年を取っても、自分の内なる人は日々新たにされます。
新しい年に入りました。
主はあなたに新しい始まりを与えようとしておられます。
「見よ、わたしはすべてを新しくする」と仰るイエス様にすべてを委ねるなら、必要な力が毎日新しく与えられます。

The Bible starts with, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
But it doesn’t end with destruction but with a new heaven and a new earth:
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth.”
When we believe in Christ the old passes away and everything becomes new.
As new creations we change into the likeness of Christ little by little.
Even as we grow older our inner being is renewed every day.
We’ve entered a new year and the Lord wants to give us a new start.
“I am making everything new”, the Lord says, and as we commit everything to him we will get all strength we need afresh for each day.
