今日は第３アドベントです。
「クリスマス・ストーリー」の大切な登場人物の一人がヨセフです。
しかし、彼の口から出たことばは一つも書かれていません。
マリアが聖霊によって身ごもった時、ヨセフは大変悩みました。
でも彼はそうした状況に惑わされることなく、主に語られたことばを信じて従ったのです。
自分のことはいっさい主張しないで、マリアを支え、赤ちゃんのイエス様を養い、教え、また育てたのでした。
ヨセフには理解できないことがたくさんあったと思いますが、主のことばと声をよく知っていたから聞き従うことができたではないでしょうか。
ヨセフに見習いましょう！
また、周りにいる「ヨセフさんたち」に感謝し、祝福しましょう！

Today is the 3rd Sunday of Advent.
An important figure in the Christmas Story is Joseph ,but there’s nothing written about anything he said.
How troubled he must have been when Mary got pregnant by the Holy Spirit!
But whatever the situation he believed and obeyed what the Lord told him to do.
Without asserting himself at all he supported Mary and nourished, taught and brought up the baby Jesus.
Even if he couldn’t understand everything, he obeyed because he he knew the Word and the voice of the Lord.
Let’s follow his example!
And let’s express our appreciation to all “Josephs” around us and bless them.
