母の日。
何年か前に、ストックホルムの500名のホームレスが食事付きの集会に招かれました。
ほとんどの方が刑務所から出た人か、アルコール依存症の人でした。
皆さんがどれほどイエス様に愛されているかを説明するために、
牧師は、自分のお母さんに愛され、慰められた時のことを思い出すよう勧めました。
そして、
「何年も会わなくても、自分の子供のことを毎日祈っているお母さんもいます。
イエス様はお母さん以上にあなたを愛し、み腕を開いて、待っておられます。」
と話した時、不思議なことが起こりました。
皆さんが拍手しながら心を開いたのです。
「もうお母さんに会えなくても、イエス様から絶対に離れません」と。

Mother’s Day.
Many years ago in Stockholm 500 homeless were invited to attend a meeting including a meal.
Most of them were men out of prison or alkoholics.
The pastor explained how much Jesus loved each of them by asking them to remember a time when their mothers had shown them love and comforted them.
“There are mothers who have not met their children for many years but yet pray for them every day.
Jesus loves you more than your mother and waits for you with open arms”,
he said.
Then something wonderful happened!
All of them started to clap their hands in applause and opened their hearts:
“Even if I cannot meet my mother I will never ever leave Jesus!”
