よみがえられたイエス様が初めて弟子たちに現れた時、トマスは彼らと一緒にいませんでした。
「私たちは主を見た」と弟子たちがトマスに伝えても、彼は信じようとはせずに疑いました。
私たちも交わりを少しでも離れて孤立するなら、信仰が弱まって疑いやすくなります。
羊が守られるために群を必要としているように、私たちもイエス様について行くために交わりを必要とするのです。
そして、トマスが主イエスに出会った時、「私の主。私の神」と礼拝を捧げたように、一人の時も一緒にいる時も、礼拝を捧げましよう。

When the Resurrected Jesus first appeared to his disciples Thomas was not with them.
Even when they told him, “We have seen Jesus”, he wouldn’t believe them but doubted.
When we, even just a little, leave the fellowship and keep to ourselves, our faith gets weaker and we easily start doubting.
As the flock is necessary for the sheep to be protected, we also get protected by staying in fellowship as we follow Jesus.
And as Thomas worshipped the Lord with, “My Lord and my God”, let’s worship him both when alone and when together with others!
