今日は児童祝福式です。
子供たちの上に手を置いて、神様の愛と守りを祈ります。
子供たちはイエス様に特別に愛されています。
彼らは親に愛され、親を信頼できることが当たり前と思っています。
(もしそうでなければ、深く傷つけられるでしょう)
大人になっても、イエス様は私たちにそのような信頼をもってほしいと願っておられます。
また、子供のように神の国を受け入れなければ、そこに入ることはできません。
イエス様はすべての人に見捨てられても、
「わたしはひとりではありません。父がわたしといっしょにおられるからです」
と仰いました。
子供であっても、大人であっても、神様の祝福に囲まれていることを感謝します。

Today is a special day when we lay our hands on the children and ask for God’s blessings, love and protection.
Children are loved by Jesus in a special way.
They take the love of their parents for granted and trust them.
(If not, they may get deeply wounded.)
As we grow up, Jesus wants us to trust him in the same way.
To enter the kingdom of God we also have to become like little children.
Jesus also said that even if everyone forsakes him,
“Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me”.
Thanks be to God that whether we’re children or grownup we’re surrounded by his blessings.
