私は背が高くて真っ直ぐに立っている白樺の木が大好きです。
でも白樺の木はいくら強そうに見えても、嵐には弱くて倒れやすいのです。
ところが、高い山にある白樺を見ると私は感動します。
その木は背が低くて曲がっているのですが、嵐に会うたびに強くなっていくからです。
私達も同じです。
試練に会うたびに信仰が試されますが、この試練がなければクリスチャンとしての成長も昇進も望めないでしょう。
「さまざまの試練に会うときは、それをこの上もない喜びと思いなさい」ヤコブ1:2

I love the tall and straight beautiful birchtrees, but however strong they look they are weak and easily break in strong winds.
But when I see the mountain birch trees I get impressed.
They are short and crooked and with every storm just grow stronger.
And so it is with us too.
Every time we meet trials our faith gets tested, but without trials we can neither grow nor get promoted as Christians.
