「私は自分の恐れに打ち勝つために素晴らしいみことばを見つけました。
『恐れのある日に、私は、あなたに信頼します。』(詩篇56:3)。」
ムーディ先生は仰いました。
「あなたにもっと良い約束を教えましょう。
『見よ。神は私の救い。私は信頼して恐れることはない。…』(イザヤ12:2)。」
思い掛けないことが突然起こった時にみことばに頼るのは良いことですが、さらに良いのは、みことばを心で受け入れ、口で告白し、宣言することです。
それによってみことばが生かされ、いつも現実的な力と体験になるのです。

Once a man said to evangelist DL Moody,
“I’ve found a wonderful verse to help me overcome my fear.”
Then he quoted Ps.56:3;
“Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you.”
Moody replied,
“I can give you a better promise:
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid”(Is.12:2)
It’s good to rely on the Lord when something unforeseen happens, but it’s even better to receive a promise in your heart and confess and proclaim it with your mouth.
Then the Word will come alive and you will always experience its power and reality in your life.
