テサロニケ人への手紙 5章 16~18節
いつも喜んでいなさい。 絶えず祈りなさい。 すべてのことにおいて感謝しなさい。 これが、キリスト・イエスにあって神があなたがたに望んでおられることです。
1970年代、 イヴァン・マルトスさんはハンガリーの銀行で勤務していました。 彼は「鉄のカーテン」の向こう側にある銀行へ向かっている途中、 共産党の警部が彼の聖書を見つけ、列車窓から外へ投げ捨ててしまいました。 その聖書の表紙にはマルトスさんの住所が書かれていました、それから2年後、その聖書は次の手紙とともに返送されて来ました。 「マルトスさん、線路で遊んでいた子供たちがあなたの聖書を見つけて村に持って来ました。 あるおばあさんがこれは大切な”本の中の本”だと認識しました。 長い間お返しできず申し訳有りません。 実は、聖書を全部手書きで書き写すのに2年かかりました。 今では、 私たちは65人のクリスチャンになり、毎日集まっています。」 日本では聖書を自由に読むことが許されています。 聖書を読んで、 人生に溢れる喜びを見つけましょう! Ivan Martos worked for a bank in Hungary in the 1970s. As he was heading to a banking business behind the Iron Curtain a Communistic guard who confronted him, found his Bible and threw it out of the train window. His address was in the front cover and two years later returned to him with the following letter: “Dear Mr. Martos, some children playing at the railroad tracks found your Bible and brought it to the village. An elderly lady recognized it as the Book of books. Sorry to have kept it so long but it took us two years to hand copy the whole Bible. Now we’re 65 persons who became Christians and we meet every day.” In Japan we are allowed to read the Bible freely. Let’s read the Bible and find life in overflow! Kerstin Dellming
