How do we increase our faith? One suggestion is to unconditionally obey the Word of the Bible. Rom.1:5 tells about the obedience that comes from faith. Even if we make such a decision, if it doesn’t suit our plans, we often choose to follow our own priorities. Because Jonah didn’t obey God he was confined in the fish till he became compliant.
