今日から受難節に入ります。
今日から復活日までは、イエス様の十字架への道を特別に覚える時です。
イエス様の十字架は、ペンダントのように美しく飾られたものではありません。
十字架は、打たれた釘の深い傷口から流れ出る血潮に染まった残酷な死刑の道具です。
イエス様は十字架に上げられることによって、すべての人をご自分のところに引き寄せて下さいます。
十字架を通して天の戸が開かれ、愛の栄光を見ることができるのです。

From today we enter Lent and till Easter Sunday we will in a special way remember Jesus’ way to the cross.
The cross of Jesus is not like a beautifully decorated cross pendant.
His cross was coloured by the blood gushing out of the deep holes of the nail marks, a cruel tool of capital punishment.
By being lifted up to the cross, Jesus draws all men to himself.
Through the cross the door of heaven opens and we can see the glory of love.
